Details: This is a one of a kind mission trip with a triple killer itinerary to Love and Protect the Fatherless. If you want to Man Up (women included) with Visiting Orphans and make a difference … this is your trip!! Man Up 4 Orphans leader: Roger Gibson, Dig Deep leader: Rob Neal, and Dude Perfect leader: Cory Cotton will lead this team on an extraordinary adventure to Africa. We will visit the Dig Deep Well Project in Chuko Weyama, Ethiopia and minister to the precious community receiving a Water and Sanitation system through A Glimmer of Hope. The team will Man Up and minister to orphans in Ethiopia and Uganda.
Itenirary: Details are still coming together, but we will travel from the US to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and then on to Kampala, Uganda. We will spend a week in Uganda at places such as Amazima Ministries orphanage and Sixty Feet children’s prison. We will help feed the kids, spend time playing sports, doing arts and crafts, and sharing the hope that is available to them through Jesus in a VBS-type setting.
After our week in Uganda we will return to Ethiopia where we’ll spend several days among the poorest of the poor. In urban Addis Ababa, the country’s capital city, all the city’s trash is collected and dumped at a central landfill. A community called Korah has developed around this trash dump. This place was originally a place for lepers to be sent and has grown into a community for the the forgotten and outcast in Ethiopia. But not any longer. God is moving in Korah, in many ways too numerous to list here. My wife has seen it with her own eyes, and now I will, too. We will be helping out with the summer program conducted by Project 61 before the 250 sponsored kids return to their boarding school in the fall – a new life away from the trash dump. After that we’ll head 5 hours south to Chuko Weyama, Ethiopia, where A Glimmer of Hope has dug a deep borehole to provide clean water and sanitation to this rural area. The campaign to support this effort is called Dig Deep and we will get to spend time with the people of Chuko and see this amazing work.
Team: Our team is made up of about 30 awesome people from all over the US who are ready to Man Up and love and serve the fatherless.
